This flour mill in Honduras had been struggling with corrosion and leaks on their main storage wheat grain tank silos.
The mill’s maintenance engineers had unsuccessfully tried to solve these problems using conventional repair products and ordinary paint but these only lasted for 1 year before they began exhibiting accelerated corrosion.
ENECON Honduras was called in to help prescribe and implement a cost effective and long term solution.
The tanks were pressure washed and then manually prepared to remove any loose rust and failed paint. ENESEAL CR was applied as a corrosion inhibiting primer. All holes were repaired with fiberglass mesh and ENESEAL CR.
A final coat of ENESEAL CR was then applied to complete the application to the plant’s total satisfaction.
